Pastor Shaun Arndt
I was born and raised in Watertown, WI where I was baptized into the Christian faith at Trinity Lutheran Church and attended Trinity/St. Luke's Lutheran Grade School. I graduated from Luther Preparatory School in Watertown before heading off to Martin Luther College in New Ulm, MN, our Synod's worker training school for future pastors, teachers, and staff ministers.In fall of 2001, I arrived in Mequon, WI, to study at Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary. During my second year at the Seminary I met my future wife, Jamie Zioncheck, a native of Michigan, while guest preaching in West Chicago, IL. During 2003 to 2004 I spent my vicar year (a year of training and experience while serving under a supervising pastor) in Chesaning, MI, small community located about 45 minutes south of Saginaw.
In August, 2004, I returned to Wisconsin three days before being married to Jamie on August 14th. We spent our senior year at the Seminary living on a non-operational farm in the countryside about 20 minutes north of Milwaukee. The most recent momentous day added to my life is May 19, 2005, the day on which our Lord showed me his most gracious love by calling me through his Church to serve as your shepherd under our Good Shepherd, Jesus Christ.
In my spare time I enjoy many types of outdoor recreation: camping, hunting, hiking, but especially fishing. I also like to read and learn about history of all eras, though my favorite areas of interest are American and Medieval history. Jamie enjoys outdoor activities along with cooking and gardening.
I am eagerly looking forward to arriving in Holmen and meeting with all of you and hearing about your lives and stories as I get to know you and serve you with the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. Please keep Jamie and myself in your prayers, that the Lord would bring us safely into your midst and bless our labors in his Kingdom.
Lisa Carlson
Lisa Carlson is a 1990 graduate of Dr. Martin Luther College in New Ulm, MN, the former teacher training college of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod. Her experience includes teaching 3rd, 4th and 5th grade for four years at St. Matthew's Lutheran School in Stoddard, WI as well as eight years of experience teaching at the Pre-Kindergarten level.
Lisa is married to David Carlson, and resides in Holmen. The Lord has blessed the Carlsons with four boys: Jonathan, Jacob, Tyler and Timothy.
